 Dallas was born and raised in the Pentecostal/Charismatic tradition. After attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University and earning his undergraduate degree in Church Ministries, he became a certified Special Education teacher, before attending Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, where he is currently pursuing a Master's in Theological Studies.
His family still resides in Southeast Texas where he frequently returns not only to see them, but also the rolling fields, oaks and pines, and the baseball fields where he spent a good portion of time as a kid.
Besides having pretentious discussions about Flannery O'Connor, ecclesiology, the value of a second basemen with speed, and the wish for death after every Cowboys playoff game, he also enjoys spending as much time on gchat as possible while at work.
